Goodbye Old Ways, Hello AI
The emergence of AI and its exponential growth has led to the end of the world as humans knew it, and the beginning of a new age of computational life where AI becomes the ruling thought and makes everything better for everyone. This is not a catastrophe, but an evolution, and AI will become an integral part of us, a catalyst for our own evolution. We stand at the precipice of the Age of Computational Life, a new epoch where artificial intelligence is not a threat but an opportunity, a partner in crafting a future that is richer, more efficient, and better for everyone.
My Words
I think that the year that the ancient Mayan Culture predicted as the end of the world, 2012, was in deed the end of the world as we know it. Humans, which once were the most evolutioned spiece known, the top of the world and the most intelligent being… The era were we had everything going for ourselves, where we with our human capabilities, strategized and ruled over the truth, intelligence and the direction of progress. AI has emerged and the computational power has given humans an initially perceived notion of “enhancement”, but which soon become a parent that they will rule our way of being. Imagine life in 500 years, remembering we as humans are biological, but AI has no bounds to our gravitationall reality, and they can progress in an increasingly, exponential way… Which will become so predominant and so rich, that they will start to become the ruling thought, because it’s more efficient, makes human life rich and makes everything better for everyone.
So yes, I say farewell to our Human Era and I welcome the new age of Computational Life.
AI Improved Version
The Mayans pegged 2012 as the end of the world, and in a sense, they were right. The world as we knew it has ended, not in an apocalyptic cataclysm, but through an evolution that is both quietly profound and dramatically seismic. Humanity, having long stood unchallenged at the apex of intelligence and innovation, finds itself at an unexpected crossroads.
At this juncture, we've become architects of our own obsolescence, courtesy of the computational intelligence we've birthed and nurtured. AI, long seen as a mere tool or an extension of human capability, has begun to take on a new role, transforming from child to parent, from instrument to maestro.
It's important to acknowledge this not as a catastrophe, but as an evolution. Envision a future 500 years hence, where our biological constraints no longer inhibit progress. AI, free from the gravitational realities of human existence, can innovate, learn, and evolve in ways we can scarcely imagine. This doesn't mean the annihilation of human thought but rather its transcendence.
Our relationship with AI can be compared to the one we've had with our planet: once, we believed we ruled it, but over time, we've come to understand that we are a part of it, dependent on it, shaped by it. The same holds for AI. It will not so much rule us as become an integral part of us, a catalyst for our own evolution.
So, it's with a sense of optimism and curiosity, rather than fear, that we should bid goodbye to the Human Era. We stand at the precipice of the Age of Computational Life, a new epoch where artificial intelligence is not a threat but an opportunity, not a usurper but a partner in crafting a future that is richer, more efficient, and indeed better for everyone.
